wrenchOil Change Services

An oil change service is the simplest yet most important preventative maintenance service for your vehicle. Engine oil keeps all of the moving parts in the engine operating smoothly and cleanses the engine. The oil continuously circulates through the oil filter to keep the oil clean of debris that could harm the engine.

Over a period of time the oil filter starts to lose its ability to clean and the oil becomes dirty and the lubrication qualities diminish. We recommend changing the oil as well as the oil filter every 3,000-5,000 miles. Some vehicles recommend using synthetic oil. Synthetic oil has a longer lifespan, but keep in mind that a synthetic oil change is significantly more expensive than a conventional one. Always consult your owners manual for the service recommendations specific to your vehicle. We can also provide the service interval information to you free of charge at any of our locations throughout New England.

In addition to changing the oil and filter, our ASE Certified Technicians perform the following services with every oil change:

  • Lubricate any front end parts where applicable
  • Check and adjust tire air pressures
  • Check and top off all vehicle fluids including
    • Radiator antifreeze
    • Transmission fluid
    • Brake fluid
    • Windshield washer fluid
    • Power Steering fluid
  • Visual inspection of
    • Drive belts (excluding any covered belts such as the timing belt)
    • Radiator hoses
    • Exterior lights
    • Air filter (in some vehicles)
    • External fluid leaks
