Commercial Tire / Service Technicians

Location - MA, NH. CT

Jumpstart your career by joining our family!  Sure, you could work somewhere else, but why would you want to.  We currently have Commercial Tire/Service Technician openings in MA, NH and CT.

As a Commercial Tire Technician, you will be responsible for changing, repairing, and maintaining tires for commercial trucks.  No prior experience required.  We will train you!  The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to lift 125 lbs.
  • A solid understanding and adherence to safety (OSHA) regulations.
  • Dependability.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Verifiable work history.
  • Basic math skills to process work orders.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • TIA Certification and prior commercial tire experience a plus!

Diesel Mechanic/ Heavy & Light Duty Mechanic

Sullivan Tire, a leading tire and automotive service company, has been family operated for more than 60 years with over 1,200 employees, currently has an opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic in our Bow, NHlocation. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be performing preventive maintenance, alignments, and diagnostic work on medium and heavy duty trucks. In this role you will also be performing full brake jobs on trailers and trucks.  

Ideal Candidate :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with diesel diagnosis
  • Properly perform lube, oil and filter changes on trucks
  • Ability to perform Federal Annual Inspections
  • Ability to repair trucks independently, while also being able to work in a team environment
  • Solid understanding and adherence to safety and environmental standards
  • Valid Class 2 License
  • Dependable Transportation
  • Verifiable Work History
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical Degree a plus!

Education/Experience:

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree a plus. Has own mechanical tools. Valid Class A Drivers license with DOT medical card required. Ability to lift 125 lbs.

Skills/Knowledge:

Mechanics - Automotive Technicians

Sullivan Tire, a leading tire and automotive service company currently has opportunities for entry level and experienced automotive technicians in our retail store locations throughout New England.

Ideal Candidates for Entry Level Mechanic:

  • Ability to mount, dismount, balance and repair passenger and light truck tires
  • Ability to perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars
  • Ability to perform vehicle maintenance repairs including the replacement of headlights, fan belts, batteries, and wiper blades
  • Solid customer service skills
  • Solid understanding and adherence to safety and environmental standards
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • ASE Certifications a plus

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical Degree a plus!

Ideal Candidate for Experienced Mechanic:

  • Solid automotive and repair experience including, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, basic electrical, engine performance, air conditioning, and timing belts utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e. VAST, MAP,  Automotive PC programs).
  • Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also being able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to relate to customers and explain repairs in a friendly manner
  • Solid understanding and adherence to safety and environmental standards
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • ASE Certifications (preferably 5+ certifications or Master Technician)
  • State Inspection License

Mobile Alignment Technician

Sullivan Tire is currently looking for Full-Time, Experienced Heavy Truck / Trailer Mobile Alignment Technician for Plymouth MA/ south shore territory.

Major Responsibilities will include:

Proper pre-alignment front end / axle / suspension inspections

Professionally Align Customers’ Truck / Trailer to Manufacturers’ Specifications to also include Computer Before / After Readings

Flexible Hours – Hours to include Weekends and Late Afternoons/Early Evenings

Minimum Requirements  

Driver’s License

DOT Medical Card (Must be able to Attain)

CDL preferred but not required

Minimum 1 year Computerized Auto / Truck / Trailer Alignment Experience

Minimum 3 years Experience in Auto / Truck Repair

Computer Experience Necessary / Hunter Alignment Software / Hardware experience preferred

Customer Service Representative for Scarborough, Maine Wholesale

Sullivan Tire, a leading tire and automotive service company currently has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in our Scarborough, Maine Wholesale Location.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Provide customer service and support to our internal and wholesale customers via telephone
  2. Provide customers with current product information, quotations and inventory to fulfill orders
  3. Process accurately and efficiently orders for internal and wholesale customers for the purchase of tires, parts and service
  4. Performs data entry and administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  5. Coordinates deliveries with shipping departments
  6. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma with two years of customer service experience
