Sullivan Tire Road Hazard Protection Plan
MANUFACTURERS DO NOT COVER DAMAGE DUE TO ROAD HAZARDS. WE RECOMMEND OUR TIRE MAINTENANCE AND PROTECTION PLAN.
Any road hazard damage such as potholes, nails, glass, jagged metals, or run flat conditions not covered by the manufacturer will be repaired or replaced on a pro-rated basis if the tire is returned for adjustment within one year from the date of sale and is less than 25% worn. If it is determined by Sullivan Tire that the cut, break, or other damage covered by this plan is repairable, the repair will be made by Sullivan Tire at no charge to the customer. If, however, the damage to a tire renders that tire unserviceable, in exchange Sullivan Tire will replace such tire with a new tire of like kind or quality on a pro-rated basis. If the tire wear is less than 25% worn and the tire returned for adjustment within one year of purchase from Sullivan Tire, the tire will not be pro-rated, but rather replaced at no cost. The pro-rated price will be calculated by multiplying the current Sullivan Tire retail price by the percentage of original usable tread which has been worn. Original usage tread is the original tread down to the tread wear indicators (2/32 of tread remaining), at which time the tire is considered worn out. If a tire of like kind and quality is not available, the difference on the pro-rated balance will either be added if a more expensive tire is supplied, or credited on a less expensive tire supplied. The cost of balancing before the first 25% of tread life on tires covered on this plan will be handled at no charge. Balancing charges after the first 25% of tread life shall be borne by the customer.
When a tire is replaced, the road hazard protection on that individual tire is void and is not transferable to the replacement tire. A customer may purchase a road hazard policy for the replacement tire. Tires covered under this plan will be rotated every 6,000 miles or 6 months by Sullivan Tire (vehicles requiring tire dismounting are excluded). The cost of this will be at no charge.
The following damages are not covered by the plan: damage caused by fire, theft, vandalism; damage caused as a result of accidents, collision, abuse, improperly balanced tire, misalignment, improper mounting, mechanical defects in the vehicle, improper repair by others, cosmetic damages, side-wall abrasions, or other appearance items. Tires on racing, off-road, and commercial vehicles are also not covered.
To make a claim under this plan the customer must present during regular business hours (1) the damaged tire, (2) the original invoice (proof of purchase), and (3) Sullivan Tire Road Hazard Validation for the damaged tire to any Sullivan Tire location.
This road hazard protection plan is not assignable by the customer and does not provide compensation for incidental or consequential damages such as loss of time, inconvenience, or loss of use of vehicle. This plan is the exclusive remedy of the customer for damages set forth herein. No Sullivan Tire employee or representative has the authority to make or imply any representation, promise, or agreement which in any way varies the terms of this Protection Plan.
The fulfillment of this Limited Road Hazard Protection Plan requires that this document be completed and signed at the time of purchase, and then presented on each occasion that you request service.
SPECIAL NOTE: This Protection Plan is not intended to be a representation that tire failure cannot occur.
WHAT ARE OWNER'S OBLIGATIONS?
Proper tire care is necessary to obtain maximum mileage and wear from a tire. It is your obligation to see that your tire/wheel assemblies are kept in balance, and that your tires are operated at proper inflation pressures. When the tires are cool, check pressure of each of your tires, including your spare, at least every 2 weeks.
FREE ALIGNMENT CHECK
This policy entitles you to an alignment check every 12,000 miles or every 12 months by Sullivan Tire while the policy is in effect.
