  • Rapid tread wear and uneven wear
  • Lack of road contact and reduced traction
  • Over deflection and heat buildup destroying the casing

  • Speed and PSI directly affect the percentage of change in load capacity

load rating, actual load per axle, maximum speed and load tables

  • Always check inflation
  • Always use same construction
  • Always use same size tires
  • Always check inflation tables for proper PSI
  • Always install larger tire on outside
  • Always use straight edge, diameter tape or large square
  • Don't pair radial and bias tire together
  • Don’t allow more than ¼ “(4/32) between tires
  • Don’t allow more than 5 PSI between tires
  • Don’t rely on sidewall PSI designation except for maximum inflation/load allowed
  • Don’t try to “drive in” dual assembly with a flat tire (both tires considered run-flat)
